The Lida Accropark was inaugurated in the spring of 2016, although the idea of tree climbing in the Stockholm region has been germinating for a long time. In the south of France, tree climbing parks are well established and Nikolas and Julien practiced this activity often with young people with whom they worked on a daily basis as recreation leaders. They both enjoy Swedish nature and were in Stockholm County, looking for a place to build their tree climbing course. When they first visited Lida in 2015, they saw how the reasonably hilly forest area with tall healthy pines and surprisingly beautiful views was ideal for a tree top course. The Accropark is located by the lake, across the ski slope, in the outdoor area of Lida.
